About The Ingredients

  1. Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride: Often used as an emollient and moisturizer to improve the texture of the product and provide hydration to the skin.
  2. Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil: An emollient rich in fatty acids that helps moisturize and condition the skin.
  3. Diatomaceous Earth: This is likely included as a natural exfoliating agent that can help remove dead skin cells and impurities from the skin.
  4. Maranta Arundinacea Root (Arrowroot): Used as a natural thickening agent to give the product a desirable consistency.
  5. Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil: Another emollient oil that mimics the skin's natural sebum, providing hydration without clogging pores.
  6. Cetearyl Olivate (and) Sorbitan Olivate: These are emulsifiers that help blend oil and water components in the product to create a stable texture.
  7. Cetyl Alcohol: A fatty alcohol that functions as an emollient and emulsifier, helping to thicken the product and improve its texture.
  8. Stearic Acid: Acts as a thickener and stabilizer in the product's formulation.
  9. Magnesium Hydroxide: Can be used as an absorbent and may have soothing properties for the skin.
  10. Zinc Oxide: Often used as a physical sunscreen agent, providing protection against harmful UV rays.
  11. Calamine: Known for its soothing and anti-itch properties, calamine can provide relief for irritated skin.
  12. Zinc Ricinoleate: This ingredient is commonly used to help neutralize and eliminate odors.
  13. Cera alba (Beeswax): Acts as a natural emulsifier and provides a protective barrier on the skin's surface.
  14. Phenoxyethanol (and) Caprylyl Glycol (and) Sorbic Acid: This combination of preservatives helps maintain the product's shelf life and prevent the growth of harmful microorganisms.
  15. Tocopherol (Vitamin E): An antioxidant that can help protect the product's ingredients from oxidation and provide potential skin benefits.
  16. Fragrance: Adds a pleasant scent to the product. However, it's important to note that fragrance can sometimes be an irritant for sensitive skin.
  17. Distilled Water: Acts as a solvent and base for the product's formulation.
  18. Citric Acid: Often used to adjust the pH of the product and maintain its stability.

Please be aware that the actual purposes of these ingredients can vary depending on the specific product and its intended use. Additionally, some individuals may be sensitive or allergic to certain ingredients, so it's always a good idea to check the ingredient list and perform a patch test before using a new skincare or cosmetic product.

Deodorant Vs. Antiperspirant

What is the difference between a Deodorant and an Antiperspirant?

A deodorant should contain ingredients that actually prevent, block and neutralize the bacteria that cause the odor in the first place and the odor itself. Our whole body, with the exception of our lips, produces sweat in some form or another. It's a natural and necessary function. The underarms, however, and a couple of other areas of the body, (ear canals and groin area) produce a unique type of sweat from glands called the Apocrine Glands, which are only found in these areas.

This type of  sweat only attains its characteristic odor upon being degraded by bacteria, which releases volatile odor molecules. More bacteria leads to stronger odor.

Sweating is a natural body function, but most people would prefer not to. In order to reduce or stop sweating underarms, Antiperspirants are created with specific ingredients to stop sweating. No sweat, no odor, no worries… except… that they contain ingredients that actually form a plug in the sweat glands to stop you from sweating. These ingredients are Aluminum Compounds (salts) and all Antiperspirants contain them. Our deodorant is free of aluminum compounds and addresses odor. It contains several highly effective, natural ingredients that effectively block, neutralize and eliminate (not mask) the odor. There are also other carefully chosen ingredients included in this formula that are very effective at absorbing sweat, oil and moisture without drying out the skin. Will you still sweat? Yes. But the synergistic combination of ingredients that we've chosen, works very well to keep you smelling sweet while also helping to keep you a little drier.

How to Use

This Deodorant is a semi-solid water-less Balm. It has a lovely creamy feel, but yet solid enough to use in a tube. Gently massage into each underarm, rubbing too hard onto your underarm may result in too much product being applied.  Reapply as needed .

Our Aluminum-Free Deodorant: A Labor of Love

Over 6 years ago we knew we had to do something - we weren't happy with the aluminum compounds present in our commercial deodorant so we started formulating our own. Shortly thereafter we release a deodorant that worked great..except it contained baking soda - a common irritant in many natural deodorants. We wanted everyone to be able to make the switch so we set off reformulating a baking soda-free version. This deodorant is:

  • Aluminum Free
  • Baking Soda Free

Each tube contains 2oz of deodorant
